OUR VETERAN PLAYERS

The players of Acadiana Veterans Hockey come from all across Louisiana, representing every branch of the military and a wide range of life experiences. Some travel hours just to step onto the ice, while others make a shorter drive—but distance never defines commitment. Every player shows up for the same reason: to be part of something that matters.

Beyond hockey, this team is deeply connected to the community. Members volunteer, support local events, and work together to raise funds that allow the team to compete at higher levels. Balancing careers, families, and life after service isn’t easy—but no one here does it alone.

AVH is built on a foundation of trust, respect, and shared experience. It’s a place where veterans are understood without explanation, where everyone is accepted, and where support extends far beyond the rink. When one teammate is struggling, the entire team stands behind them.
